Legacy of His Majesty Angwafor III : Nation Honours Actor Of Special Status

The departed iconic figure was posthumously decorated by the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the CPDM on behalf of the Head of State on December 15, 2022.
“Ntaw Mankon” or better still, the Mankon palace, home of the people of Mankon, Mezam Division was the venue where royalty, traditional rites, military honours and public tributes celebrated the legacy of His Majesty, S.A.N Angwafor III who disappeared on May 21, 2022 after 63 years on the throne. It is against this backdrop that the representative of the Head of State, Jean Nkuete posthumously decorated the departed with a Medal of the Dignity of Grand Cordon of the Cameroon Order of Merit. A condolence message of the Presidential couple; Paul and Chantal Biya delivered by North West Governor, Adolphe Lele Lafrique; regretted the passing unto glory of "His Majesty S.A.N Angwafor III, a Fon, faithful CPDM militant full of moderation and wisdom that inspired the unity and integrity of the State and nation".
It was a rare moment and a tribute of the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the CPDM party delivered by the North West Regional team leader, Philemon Yang. He remembered His Majesty Angwafor as “a man of great status, outstanding personality, the King Solomon of the nation, a shrine of culture, fearless and distinguished guardian of the customs and traditions of Mankon fondom”. It emerged from the message that His Majesty Angwafor was a great supporter of the CPDM party.
