Cameroon-Brazil : Strategising To Boost Agriculture

Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute exchanged on the subject with the Brazilian Ambassador to Cameroon, Patricia Maria Oliveira Lima on December 21, 2022.
Expanding cooperation ties in the domain of agriculture came under discussions at the Star Building during an audience which the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, granted the Brazilian Ambassador to Cameroon, Patricia Maria Oliveira Lima on December 21, 2022. It is the maiden audience accorded by the Prime Minister to the Brazilian diplomat following her arrival in Cameroon on August 2, 2022. Both personalities discussed enhancing agriculture, preservation of the forests and promoting gender equality.
In her statement to the press after the audience, Patricia Maria Oliveira Lima said the whole idea was paying a courtesy call to the Prime Minister to express her idea of working together with authorities in reinforcing the very good bilateral ties that exist between Cameroon and Brazil. “The things I mentioned and that we have many areas in common are agriculture, preservation of forests and gender aspects. For agriculture, we have been dealing with Cameroon for a very long time. We have a very good exchange in this area,” she stated, adding that it her hope to see experiences being shared towards the development of the sector. Owing to Brazil’s strong agricultural tradition, the diplomat expressed her willingness to facilitate experience sharing.
