CEP, FSLC/ Common Entrance : Registration Fees Modified

According to a circular signed by the Minister of Basic Education on January 9, 2023, the cost is now FCFA 6,000.

In accordance with the Finance law No 2022/020 of December 27, 2022 of the Republic of Cameroon for the 2023 fiscal year, the Minister of Basic Education, Professor Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa has signed a circular note informing various authorities within the Basic Education sector on the new modalities in the collection, preservation and management of registration fees for official examinations for the 2023 session. The new modalities indicate an increase in the registration fees due to the cost of stamps. According to a head teacher, instead of FCFA 5,000, pupils will have to pay FCFA 6,000 to fully register for the Certificat D’Etudes Primaires (CEP), First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and the Common Entrance for government secondary and technical education.
Circular No 001/B1/1464/MINEDUB/SG/DRFM/DECC/SDOEXC of January 9, 2023 to modify circular No 012/B1/1464/ MINEDUB/SG/DRFM/DECC/SDOEXC of September 27 2022 clearly explains the modalities in the collection, preservation and management of registration fees for official examinations for the 2023 session, to all Basic Education Regional Delegates, Divisional Delegates, Sub-Divisional Inspectors and the Head Teachers of primary schools. The circular reveals that the total fees for the registration of CEP, FSLC and the Common Entrance for government secondary and technical education are now FCFA 6,000. This comprises registration fee which stands at FCFA 2,500, Support Fund at FCFA 1,400, Fiscal Stamp fee at FCFA 1,500 while Communal Stamp Fee and Tele-declarations charges stand at FCFA 500 and 100 respectively.
