Star Building : Prime Minister Receives 2023 Best Wishes

A total of 14 delegations presented their warm wishes for the New Year to the Head of Government on January 11, 2023.

Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office and officials of institutions attached to the Star Building have presented their best wishes to the Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute. The ceremony which took place on January 11, 2023 saw fourteen delegations shaking hands with the Prime Minister at the courtyard of his office. Void of speeches, it was an all smiles event between the Prime Minister and the various persons who showed up to extend warm wishes to him. Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office were visibly happy to shake hands with their boss, a tradition which had been suspended for two years in respect to social distancing measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.
First to shake hands with the Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute was the Secretariat General led by the Secretary General, Séraphin Malgoire Fouda, then followed by the Cabinet of the Prime Minister’s Office led by the Director of Cabinet, Confiance Balungeli Ebune.  
As concerns institutions attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, their leaders showed up at the well-wishing event. Prominent amongst them was the National Coordinator for the Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration Committee, Fai Yengo Francis and the President of the National Communication Council, Joe Chebonkeng. The latter was greeting the Prime Minister in his capacity as President of the Council for the first time, same with the newly-appointed members of the Council.
