Cameroon-Czech Republic Relations : Prospects In Expanding Cooperation Ties

The Republic of Cameroon and the Czech Republic have plans of intensifying cooperation domains to different sectors. It is within this framework that that the Minister Delegate to the within Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu granted an audience to the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Cameroon with residence in Abuja, Zden?k Krej?i on February 6, 2023. Both parties discussed broadening cooperation in the agriculture, finance, industries and aviation sectors.  
Ambassador Zden?k Krej?i told reporters after the audience that it is now time for both parties to use every potential to develop projects of common interest. He revealed that he will today February 7, 2023 sign a convention with the Ministry of Finance on avoiding double taxation, a move which he said will enable the two parties make reasonable progress in certain domains. “Other things that account for the reason of my visit to Cameroon include the elaboration of cooperation accords in the domains of industries and agriculture. There are also negotiations on improving the aviation sector. We are also talking with Cameroonian counterparts to prepare an eventual working visit of Czech business people to Cameroon and for Cameroonian entrepreneurs to also visit the Czech Republic,” the Ambassador stated.
