Obituary : Senator Ankie Rebecca Is No More

The Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) senatorial team in the South West Region is bereaved. One of them, Ankie Affiong Rebecca Amah who was one of the seven candidates for the March 12, 2023, has been snatched by the cold hands of death. She died on March 1, 2023, in Yaounde following an illness. Her demise was announced in a communique on March 1, 2023, signed by Bernard Wongolo, Deputy Secretary General of the Senate. Her corpse has been preserved in a mortuary in Yaounde. The Deputy Scribe expressed the condolences of the President of Senate, Marcel Niat Njifenji, to the bereaved family. 
Ankie Affiong Rebecca Amah was among the pioneer members of the Senate. She was first elected in 2013 on the ticket of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement. She had her second mandate in 2018 and was going in for her third mandate. She hailed from Ndian Division of the South West Region.
