Senatorial Campaign : SDF Joins The Fray

The party launched campaigns through a press conference on March 2,2023 in Bamenda.
The Social Democratic Front (SDF) party on Thursday March 2nd joined the scramble for senatorial seats for the third legislature by launching campaigns through a press conference. Speaking during the launch which took place at the ‘Club 58’ in Bamenda, the head of the SDF list for the North West Region, Vanigansen Mochiggle, who was accompanied by all running mates said though the SDF was numerically disadvantaged in terms of the number of Councillors who constitute the electoral college, he was sure the SDF was going to win again as in the last legislature under similar circumstances. He however stated that this did not mean they had an understanding with the CPDM. “There is no arrangement between the SDF and the CPDM”, he said adding that the SDF has never wavered from its position and that the CPDM Councillors know only SDF Senators can muster the courage to table their concerns. He said the SDF believes in change through evolution not revolution.
The list leader said though there were going to meet and woo all the 1,133 Councillors in the North West individually, they decided to choose the format of a press conference because the press can better relay their message to the masses.
