West Region : UMS Intensifies Proximity Campaign

The party’s officials toured villages in Upper Nkam Division to canvas for votes from the electorate.
Few days to the voting date, officials of Union des Mouvement Socialistes (UMS) party, led by the list leader for the Senatorial election in the region, Anne Djonkam, have been tourning villages in the Upper Nkam Division, with the main aim to meet the electorate and woo them as a mechanism to secure victory for the party.
According to Anne Djonkam, UMS candidates and their alternates members were in Upper Nkam Division to visit and dialogue with Councillors of other political parties, who are members of the electoral college. She said they were out in the field to explain their strategic framework and political manifesto which consist in promoting good governance. She added that they intend to work at strengthening local development if voted into the Senate.
Anne Djonkam, who is the Mayor of the Bafang Council said she and her team visited almost all the Councillors in the Upper Nkam Division, within the framework of the adopted “proximity approach campaign” of the party.
