Yaounde Hilton Hotel : Warm Welcome Accorded State Leaders

Officials and compatriots of CEMAC member countries showed up at the Hilton Hotel to accord honours to their Presidents.
The atmosphere at the Yaounde Hilton hotel was colourful as several persons turned up to welcome their Presidents who are in Cameroon for the 15th ordinary session of the CEMAC Heads of State Summit which Cameroon is hosting today March 17, 2023. Warm messages, dance groups from the four cultural zones of Cameroon and the various communities of the Presidents could be seen at the Hilton hotel, where the Heads of State are lodged. Some of the dance groups held peace plants in their hands and were dressed in traditional attires.
First to arrive at the Hilton hotel at 11:32 am was the President of the Chadian Transitional Military Council, Mahamat Idriss Deby, accompanied by the Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Laurent Esso. He was on-board a limousine with the number plate of the car carrying the name of his country in bold and the Chadian flag of blue, yellow and red on its right hand side. Also present to ensure the Chadian leader settles very well in the hotel was the newly designated Chadian Ambassador to Cameroon and other officials of Chad as well as other Chadian citizens resident in Yaounde. The Chadian leader was received at the hotel by its Director, Julien Besançon. This is the first time the Chadian leader is vising Cameroon in his capacity as President and was received with beautiful messages held up in banners opposite the main entrance of the hotel. One of such messages read; “Your Excellencies, the people of Cameroon welcome you and wish you a pleasant stay in Yaounde.”
The second Head of State to make his entry into the hotel was the Gabonese President, Ali Bongo Ondimba. He was followed some hours later by the President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, who was accompanied by the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze.
