Appointment of Fon Mukete IV Ekoko : Meme Elite Thank Head Of State

The political elite, Meme Chiefs' Conference, Kumba Traditional Council, and Kumba Quarter Heads, on April 5, 2023 sent a motion of support to the President of the Republic through the Senior Divisional Officer for Meme, thanking him for appointing Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko as Senator. The motion was handed to the Meme SDO, during a home-coming occasion organised to receive the newly-appointed Senator into the city of Kumba.
The various presenters hailed President Biya for once more bringing Kumba into the spotlight, by appointing their paramount ruler to replace his late father in the Senate. They promised to remain committed and steadfast in their support for the Head of state and the ruling CPDM party. They equally promised their unconditional support and collaboration to the new Senator to enable him succeed in the task assigned to him by the Head of state.
The Secretary General of the Meme Chiefs Conference, HRH Chief Ivens Nofuruh, on behalf of the Chiefs, saluted the appointment and noted that Meme Chiefs were very proud for having one of theirs as a lawmaker in Parliament.
