North West : Regional Assembly To Adopt Dev’t Plan

? The validation and adoption of the Regional Development Plan that spans through 2022 to 2027 will constitute one of the main highlights of the Assembly session that begins this April 17, 2023.
Councillors of the North West Regional Assembly will this Monday, April 17, 2023 begin the ordinary session of the House to be dedicated among other issues to the validation and adoption of the Regional Development Plan that will cover the period 2022 to 2027. The ordinary session will end on April 20, 2023.
The President of the North West Regional Assembly, Prof. Fru Angwafo III announced the session and the key issues to be handled during a press briefing in the Regional Assembly premises in Bamenda on April 15, 2023. The session is statutorily that of March. However, it is taking place in April because of the hectic agenda of March 2023 that included the Senatorial election, celebration of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) anniversary and other key activities, Prof Fru Angwofo III explained.
Key presentations during the ordinary session will include that of state of the Region, performance of the Regional Executive Council, Regional Development Plan, budgetary, management, administrative and stores or materials accounts. There will also be updates of the Peace Development Initiative. It will be the first session to be attended by North West Senators of the third legislative period of the Senate.
