National Day : North West Heartbeat Of Civilian Preparations

The North West Region in general and Mezam Division in particular is the heartbeat of preparations for the civilian manifestations of the 51st National Day activities coming up on May 20, 2023. The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education Mounouna Foutsou under the high instructions of the Head of State, President Paul Biya is in the North West Region where he will officially launch activities of the civilian manifestations in Tubah today, May 12, 2023. Cameroon’s National Day celebration this year is taking place on the theme, “Defence forces and Cameroonian people, in harmony to safeguard peace and national unity, bedrock of a strong and prosperous Cameroon.”
In prelude to the official launching of manifestations today, Minister Mounouna Foutsou took off time to visit the hinterland Baligham Village in Santa Subdivision entering from the West Region. Here, in the presence of the North West Regional Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique and other dignitaries of the region, he inaugurated the Multipurpose Youth Empowerment Centre for Santa Subdivision located in Baligham Village. The centre is constructed on a surface area of 3,000 meters square.  It is comprised of offices, workshops, an enlarged hall and six toilets.
