Reconversion Of ex-fighters : DDR Buea Receives Former Ndian Combatants

The number of inmates has grown up to 382 at the Buea Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration Centre (DDR). A recent contingent of seven reconverted fighters was received last 3 May, 2023 in Buea. They are all males who backed out from their initial fighting spree in Ndian Division of the South West Region to a peaceful reconversion.
Speaking to Cameroon Tribune on the phone, the Regional Chief of DDR Centre for the South West, Ndone Ndodemesape Bernard explained that the ex-fighters were received with warmth as in the past with their predecessors. The repentant fighters were properly identified and assured of their safety at the centre.
