Local Development : Harmony, Inclusiveness Emphasised

There is expected harmonious, balanced and inclusive development in the Ndop municipality in Ngoketunjia Division of the North West Region henceforth, following the knowledge the Council executives, employers and the local development stakeholders acquired during the awareness-creation mission the Public Independent Conciliator Tamfu Simon Fai and his team carried out in the community on July 20, 2023.
The stakeholders learned that the Mayor is a servant and Council management has to respect the policies of inclusiveness, non-discrimination, bottom-top approach in the participation, designation and allocation of projects. Council staff and the local population also have responsibilities and obligations to effectively work for Councils and deliver the desired general welfare and development of the locality. They also acquired knowledge on the functioning of regional institutions and Councils vis-à-vis their rights.  Henceforth, the users and beneficiaries of Council services know that they have to lodge their complaints to the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator. For this reason, the stakeholders were drilled on complaint management procedure.  They must only take to the PIC complaints that relate to the management of Councils and Regions and must only do that   when all attempts to resolve them at the level of the Council must have failed.
The Public Independent Conciliator Tamfu Simon Fai assured the population of the powers of the institution to ensure the effective management of Councils and regions for the betterment of the living conditions of the population.
