North West : ELECAM Launches Consultation Platform

After the launching of the National Platform for Permanent Consultation with stakeholders, the Regional Delegation of ELECAM for the North West followed suite with the launching of the Regional Platform for Consultation on the electoral process with actors at the local level, on Wednesday August 30, 2023. 
Presiding at the launching ceremony which took place at the conference hall of MINEPAT in Bamenda, the Electoral Board Member, Nga Gasper said the objective of the platform is to provide fresh impetus to the electoral process involving all stakeholders. In accordance with the theme; ‘Increase registration, improve participation and maintain trust in our elections”, Nga Gasper said they are out to boost civic participation of the youths, women and vulnerable persons. He said the North West is politically sensitive and called on stakeholders to create an enabling environment for credible elections so as to foster peace and social harmony.
The Regional Delegate of ELECAM for the North West, Zofoa  Njoya Sake, said the creation of the Regional Platform is a recommendation for permanent communication among stakeholders in view of revitalizing the electoral process.
