NW Regional Assembly : President Presents Balance Sheet

This was during the opening plenary sitting of the ongoing 12th ordinary session on October 16, 2023.
The 12th session of the North West Regional Assembly that started on October 16, 2023 is holding under the theme, “Building clean, secure, safe and healthy communities.” Focus is on what has been done since the beginning of the year in terms of projects, the impact of the Peace and Development Initiative (PDI) in the communities, where these projects have been carried out in order to be able to analyse them for improvement.
In his opening address, the President of the North West Regional Assembly, Prof. Fru Angwafo III said his team is committed to rebrand and work towards the return to normalcy. The journey in the past 30 months confirms that the development and rebranding journey is not rosy. Prof. Angwafo III was optimistic when he said the rough journey has not stopped the region from attaining its objectives and aspirations so far. He reminded stakeholders that the current session is dedicated on updates for back to school, the institution’s Public Investment Budget projects, NOWEDIF and Customs Clearing House project, and training from the Supreme State Audit on public finance management. The President also called on the population to unite and build a more productive and unified region that future generations would be proud of.
He highlighted the various spheres of involvement of the Regional Assembly in the past months so as to push its development agenda. The institution has also been turning a full cycle in the area of cooperation and partnerships as a series of Memorandums of Understanding have been signed with other actors, aimed at giving a facelift to the region and improving the living conditions of inhabitants.
