Telecommunications Regulatory Board : Head Office Inaugurated

Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Din Ngute commissioned the platinum building worth FCFA 19 billion on October 20, 2023.
The recently constructed headquarters building of the Telecommunications Regulatory Board had been inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute. The edifice worth FCFA 19 billion, that occupies a surface area of 2,050 metres square, on a total surface area of 11,200 metres square was inaugurated on October 20, 2023 in the presence of members of government and the diplomatic corps.
Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute noted that the building and its services is expected to increase innovation, connectivity and internet access. To him, ART has brought several successes on the account of the State as it continues to strive to guarantee quality services are offered to users of the telecommunications sector. “The attention given to the telecommunications sector by the highest authorities of our country is linked to the catalytic role played by this sector in the drive towards our emergence. The telecommunications sector has been identified in our national development strategy as a growth lever on the basis of the planned investment and deployment assumptions, the telecommunications sector is expected to grow by 6.4 per cent by 2030. As part of this process, the Telecommunications Regulatory Board plays a pivotal role,” the Prime Minister stated. The Head of Government urged staff to be proud of the achievement and collectively work at adding a significant contribution to the emergence of the country.
For the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Minette Libom Li Likeng, the new headquarter of ART is more than just a building as it embodies the commitment of the government not only to provide structures with modern infrastructure, but also symbolises the determination of the highest State authorities to meet the ever evolving needs of our growing digital society.
