Bamenda DDR Centre : Regional Assembly Communes With Ex-fighters

The President of the North West Regional Assembly Prof. Fru Angwafo III on January 3, 2024 led a delegation to the Centre with gifts and messages of peace and hope.
The President of the North West Regional Assembly Prof. Fru Angwafo III accompanied among others by the Secretary General at the North West Regional Governor’s Office, George Magloire Bassileken representing Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique took the message of peace and hope as well as food items to the over 442 ex-fighters lodged in their permanent site at Bafut.
Professor Fru Angwaf III during the visit on January 3, 2024 took along gifts that included 10 bags of 25kg of Ndop rice, 10 bags of 50kg of flour, palm oil, Irish potatoes and meat to the ex-fighters of separatist movement operating in the North West and South West Regions. It was the visit of first senior government official since the new site of the Bamenda Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR) Centre became operational on July 4, 2023 as disclosed by the elated Coordinator of the Centre Kum Henry Echu.
“We came here to do a simple citizen activity. Share the cheer of Christmas and New Year season and give them hope for 2024.
