North West : Authorities Recommit To Provide Better Services

The Office of the Public Independent Conciliator for the North West Region, conducted a perception survey whose findings indicate shortcomings on delivery of services.
The Executive Council of the North West Regional Assembly and Mayors of Councils have expressed the determination to adjust and change positively in their missions and services delivered to users and the local population.
They took the commitment in Bamenda on April 3, 2024 during a debriefing workshop organised by the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator (PIC) for the North West Region relating to the 2023 Annual Report of the Office that was submitted to the President of the Republic on February 8, 2024. The report that was later published in accordance with the provisions of the law creating the Offices of the Public Independent Conciliators for the North West and South West Regions contains the findings of an annual survey conducted to measure the perception of citizens in 2023 of the functioning of Regional and local council services. It also contained analysis of the relevant complaints and denunciations brought to the Office of the PIC daily by users of regional and council services.
