South West : Legislator Crusades For Social Cohesion

This is through a football tournament organised by Hon. Malomba Esembe of the Buea Urban Constituency that brought together 16 teams of the locality.
The first edition of the “Na We We” Buea-Urban sports tournament opened in Buea with 16 teams. Flagged off on Sunday July 28, 2024, at the Molyko Ominisport Stadium, the opening encounter ended with a 2-1 victory for Tole United over Bokwaongo Football Club. The competition which brought together over 2,500 spectators including high profile personalities across Buea, at the Molyko Stadium is sponsored by Hon. Malomba Esembe, Member of Parliament for Buea Urban Constituency. It is expected to end on Sunday 25 August 2024 at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium. The rest of the matches will be staged at the playgrounds of the National Advanced School of Public Works Annex Buea (Surveys School) and of the Government Teachers’ Training College Mile 17, Buea. Manoh Solomon from Tole United FC emerged Man of the Match, and it earned him FCFA 50,000. He is confident that his side will win the trophy.
The MP said his constituency has a vibrant youth population with passion for football and other sports. He emphasized that, sports, particularly football, can be a powerful tool to bring people together, break down barriers, and encourage positive interaction among young people.
Through this tournament, the MP for Buea Urban aims to promote social cohesion and living together.
