North West : Awareness On Council Obligations In Santa

The Office of the Public Independent Conciliator for the North West has revealed that some 175 complaints have received by the institution since its creation in 2021; 20 in 2021, 48 in 2022 and 55 in 2023. The information was made public during an outdoor sensitization campaign in Santa on Friday August 16.  Representing the PIC, the Research Officer No. 1, Ndi Nelson said they are out to ensure that everyone takes part in council activities beginning from decision making to the implementation of projects
As is characteristic of the OPIC wherever they go, Dr Tilarius Atia dwelled on the role and missions of the institution and reiterated the campaign for the free establishment of civil status documents such as birth, marriage certificates as well as certificates of death. Meanwhile Nina Ambuban presented the concept of community participation in development as well as the complaint management mechanism of the OPIC Office.
This time around, there were presentations by the North West Regional Assembly as well as the role of the Council.
