Peace, Stability in the Sub Region : President Biya’s Efforts Appreciated

This is the main message of the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Central Africa, Abdou Abarry, received yesterday by Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute.
Efforts made by Cameroon under the leadership of President Paul Biya in ensuring peace and stability in the country and the sub region have been appreciated by the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Central Africa and Head of the United Nations Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA), Abdou Abarry. The UN official who is in Cameroon representing the UN Scribe at the 50 Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation was received in audience, yesterday August 29, 2024 by the Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute. The UN senior official was accompanied in the audience by the interim Resident Coordinator of UN Systems in Cameroon, Siaka Coulibaly.
In his statement to the press, the Special Representative said, “I could not be in Yaounde without coming to see the Prime Minister to appreciate through him, what the President of the Republic is doing for Cameroon in terms of peace, stability and prosperity.” In a world filled by several uncertainties, Abdou Abarry said they examined security issues at the national, regional and international levels. Noting that there are still some challenges to that regard, the UN official said they appreciate the efforts made by Cameroon to tackle the security situation ...
