Regional, Council Services : NW Community Actors To Ensure Better Delivery

The Office of the Public Independent Conciliator for the North West Region equipped them for the mission during a workshop in Bamenda on November 14, 2024.


Community-based organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations, civil society organisations, development and professional associations and faith-based organisations operating in the North West Region are expected to be actively engaged in the education and sensitization of the populations of the region for effective local development and governances through Regional and Council services on the field.
Their contribution to boost local development through ensuring that the populations benefit from optimal regional and local services is thanks to the training they received at the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator (PIC) for the North West Region on November 14, 2024. Speaking during the occasion, the Public Independent Conciliator, Tamfu Simon Fai told representatives of the community actors that, “The Office of the Public Independent Conciliator is organizing this workshop to inform and educate community-based and civil society actors to actively engage in the functioning of regional and council services in the field, as well as liaise with the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator to boost its field presence.” He recalled the mission of the Office of the PIC which is to, “make sure that good services are rendered by councils to the population, void of discrimination and marginalization, and in respect of human rights. We work for citizens’ fair and equitable treatment under the law.”
