Communication : Enhancing Inclusive Media Content

The Minister, René Emmanuel Sadi, is soliciting a budget of FCFA eight billion 237 million to attain this objective and many others.

In the course of 2026, the Ministry of Communication aspires to realise three main objectives which include; increasing the supply of inclusive media content, boosting strategic communication for social development and providing governance and institutional support in the communication sub-sector. To this effect, the Minister of Communication, René Emmanuel Sadi, is soliciting a budget of FCFA eight billion 237 million. He was before the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly over the weekend to present and defend his priority programmes.
On increasing the supply of inclusive media content, the Minister said they will strengthen the system for collecting, processing and disseminating information about Cameroon to young people and vulnerable populations, clean up the national advertising sector by eradicating unfair competition and provide feedback on the editorial orientations of traditional and social media on trends in public opinion. As concerns strategic communication for social development, the Ministry will strengthen strategic and operational social communication actions that bring about positive change at the individual and collective levels, and improve government communication through the development of strategic and community-based communication tools that are sensitive to inclusion and gender issues.
