External Relations: Three Ambassadors Received

I n three separate au­ diences on September 15, 2026, the Minister of External Relations, Mbella Mbella, exchanged views on enhancing bilateral relations with, Türkiye, Mo­ rocco and Côte d’Ivoire, coun­ tries with resident Ambas­ sadors and direct diplomatic relations. First to be received was the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, Abdelkader Ja­ moussi, the organisation of the next Joint Commission meeting between the two countries came under review. It should be noted that this encounter comes after about 14 years of some interrup­ tions. According to the Am­ bassador, both nations are already on another level of cooperation, and the next Joint Commission meeting will give additional impetus to these ties. He added that new domains of cooperation were also examined at the bilateral, continental and in­ ternational levels. The Mi­ nister and the Ambassador also exchanged a conver­ gence of views on conflict management on the eve of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. With the Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire, Kouassi Yao Filbert Glegaud, exchanges focused on strengthening cooperation on activities of mutual inte­ rest at the United Nations General Assembly. He said the signing of an accord on visa exemption requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports between Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire is previewed.
