She was the first lady to win the race seven times earning the Queen of Mountain title.
The journey for what would become history started in a fruitless style 1994 but the hope was still burning. In 1996, the deadlock was broken. Sarah Liengu Etonge bagged home her first trophy of Mount Cameroon Race of Hope in the female category. From then, right up to 2015 when she retired from the competition, Sarah Liengu Etonge has conquered the chariots of the gods seven times. This earned her the title Queen of the Mountain.
