2024 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers : Minister Congratulates Lions

The coach of the Indomitable Lions and his technical bench were at the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education yesterday June 12, 2024.
The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, granted audience to the coach of the national team, Marc Brys yesterday June 12, 2024 in his cabinet. Marc Brys accompanied by his technical staff including team captain, Vincent Aboubakar, were in the Ministry shortly after returning from the day four World Cup qualifier against the Palancas Negras of Angola.
Speaking at the audience, Minister Mouelle Komkbi expressed government’s determination to ensure that serenity is restored in the national team so as to have excellent results in future. The Minister congratulated the Indomitable Lions for their performance after winning Cabo Verde 4-1 and then drew 1-1 with the Palancas Negras of Angola. He congratulated them for the five goals scored during the two matches which reunited the public with the team. He said the results despite the challenges that surrounded the team was proof of their bravery, fighting spirit and determination for the success of the team. He said the public in Yaounde was happy to see players like Michael Ngadeu Ngadjui again and also see new players like Tchatchoua and Carlos Baleba who put up excellent performances.
