Judo Cup of Cameroon : Panthers Are Winners

The Yaounde-based club retained the title they won last year during the cup finals that took place at the national Dojo in Soa, Yaounde on July 20, 2024.

The national Dojo in Yaounde was the venue of the 2024 edition of the Cameroon Judo Mixed Team Cup on Saturday July 20, 2024. Orgnaised by the Cameroon Judo Federation (FECAJUDO), the competition brought together over 200 athletes from clubs across the country. It was another opportunity for Yaounde inhabitants to discover new techniques in the sport.  The competition unfolded in the senior men’s and mixed categories. It was a chance for other young aspiring athletes to develop interest in the sports discipline. 
The 2024 edition of the Cameroon Judo Mixed Team Cup featured nine clubs (Panthers, Academy Judo Club de Bertoua, Fusion Judo Club, University of Douala Judo Club, Energy Judo Club, PMA Judo Club Soa, Yaoundé Sport JC, Top Form Judo Club Mulang Bamenda and Lion Sport Academy) from different regions of Cameroon. The athletes put remarkable performances in front of thousands of supporters who turned out to watch the event. 
the end of the competition, outgoing champions, Panthers Judo Club of Yaounde finished on top beating Energy Judo Club in the final thanks to four victories and two losses. Audrey Biok from Panthers Judo Club said she was happy with the victory. She said she and her team mates gave their best. “Compared to last year, we have outdone ourselves to be Cameroon champions once again,” she said.
